NEW BLOG!

Now that we've left Egypt, I feel a need to record what we did there so when we look back on our time we'll remember it wasn't all homeschool and sleeping. I'll continue to post to this blog until I catch up to the time we left Cairo in June 2010. Our new blog will pick up from that time forward.

Alexandria--Part 2--Fun

After moving to a hotel we felt much healthier even though the space was far more cramped.

Another bonus of moving to the hotel is that we were able to use the private hotel beach whereas if we'd stayed in the apartment we would've had to use one of the public beaches. The public beaches in the ME are known for being more trashy and crowded.

We had fun playing in the water of the Mediterranean Sea.

Building sand castles

Eating french fries and drinking orange soda out of glass goblets.

We did swim in the hotel pool but the water was colder than the sea so we didn't spend much time in the pool.

And since we didn't have access to a kitchen anymore we ate out a bit more than planned. This is a picture of "the best fish I've ever eaten" according to Todd. It probably was fresh from the sea that morning.
