Okay, so my parents said I could post almost anything on blog, I just had to approve it by them first. This post goes out to Sister Parke who asked about Young Womens here in Kuwait.
Upon my first week or two here, my first mutual was a Personal Progress night. We do that the first Tuesday of every month. I've completed 4 Value experiences, working on the last two and the project to go with it. My project basically is to help Eli prepare for school next year and Meg to learn her letter sounds.
There's not very many YW, me, Reem 12, Samantha 17, Michelle 14, Camille 13 or 14, Sariah 12. Our YW leaders husband works on the Military base, so at YW we have Reeses and Hersheys kisses, candy you usually can't find unless its off the base. Since theres not many of us, Samantha is the president, I'm the 2nd counsler and Camilles the first. So when Samantha is gone, Camille or I have it covered.
For activities the YW have done alone are learning a bit about first aid, how to make chocolate crepes, we had our day camp a month ago, thats all I can think of at the moment.
For combined activites, (my dad is the YM pres. ) we have had a game night, bowling, kickball at a park (its amazing there are actually parks here), a Halloween party for the Primary, and the one I found the most fun is what we did last Tuesday, SOAP SOCCER. Its a big plastic blow up field and its got water in it. When you rent the field, it comes with 3 bottles of soap, you spread it around and you play soccer. Everyone fell soo many times. My dad tripped me so I tripped him back as he was about to score a goal maybe 7 times. he he he . My dads and my hands, back, bottoms have been sore since. We had a fun time and we ended it with some good Country Time Lemonade from the States.
Everyone, 12 and older, takes Seminary and during the first class, we read the Bible. We're almost to Esther.
I've enjoyed YW and the people in it.

Miss Clara - Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about Young Women's. I never cease to be amazed at how the church is the same no matter where you are. Soap socccer sounds like a riot!! I'm thrilled to hear you've already accomplished so much much towards your Young Womanhood Award. Keep up the great work!
Love to your whole family!
