NEW BLOG!

Now that we've left Egypt, I feel a need to record what we did there so when we look back on our time we'll remember it wasn't all homeschool and sleeping. I'll continue to post to this blog until I catch up to the time we left Cairo in June 2010. Our new blog will pick up from that time forward.

Kindergarten Grandparent's Day

Here are some pictures I've meant to post for Grandmas and Grandpas. Every year the Kindergarten at the kids' school hosts the grandparents and since having grandparents come wasn't an option, I went in their place. There were treats as we came into the building. Then we were escorted outside where each kindergarten class (I think there were 6) performed some songs they had learned. Red's class was the very last class to perform so I got to sit through 5 other K classes singing songs. I mostly spent the time people watching. It was fun to watch parents try to get the best picture of their kid with no thought of stepping in front of someone who was also trying to get the best picture.

After the songs we went into the classroom where the kids made cards for the grandparents.

Here's a pic of Red with his cards. Sorry Grandmas and Grandpas, a picture of the cards is the best we can do.

Here is Red with his teacher, Mrs. Saad.
We miss you Grandmas and Grandpas!
